DNA Cossitt Surname Research Project
For several years, Cousin Jim Cossitt has been talking about DNA
research to determine if we are closely related to some of those
people with the name of Cossitt that currently live in France and
other countries. In early 2008, the Board of Directors of the Cossitt Family
Association commenced the Cossitt
Family Y-DNA Surname Project. These are
the most current results.
The Officers of The Cossitt
Family Association are hoping that additional Cossitt surnamed males will consider donating their DNA. It has been the desire of the Directors to enhance our
genealogy searches and also provide tools for enhancing our roots and
discovering new lines of adjoining families. Please send your comments, suggestions
